การรู้จักตัวเอง กับ การส่องสว่างของพระเจ้า


คริสเตียนไม่สามารถเติบโตได้ถ้าเขาไม่รู้จักตัวเขาเอง และคริสเตียนไม่สามารถก้าวหน้า ฝ่ายวิญญาณไปอีกได้มากกว่าที่เขารู้นั้น ไม่มีคริสเตียนคนใดเติบโตได้มากกว่าสิ่งที่พระเจ้าเปิดเผยให้ ถ้าคริสเตียนไม่รู้สิ่งผิดปกติหรือสภาพการณ์ของเขา ก็จะไม่สามารถมุ่งไปในสิ่งใหม่ๆ หรือสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นข้างหน้าได้

สิ่งสำคัญอย่างหนึ่งคือ การตระหนักว่าเนื้อหนังของมนุษย์ เชื่อถือไม่ได้และไร้ประโยชน์ วิธีเดียวคือการวางใจพระเจ้าในทุกทาง เมื่อเราไม่รู้ตัวเอง เราก็ไม่รู้ว่าเราบกพร่องมากแค่ไหน หรือ ความรอดในพระคริสต์ล้ำค่าแค่ไหน ทำให้เราพลาดจากพระพรฝ่ายวิญญาณ

การรู้จักตัวเองมาจากการสำรวจตัวเองหรือไม่?

Psalm 26:2 - ข้าแต่พระเจ้า ขอพิสูจน์ข้าพระองค์ ลองข้าพระองค์เถิด ทดสอบใจและจิตของข้าพระองค์เถิด

จริงๆ แล้ว มีเพียงพระเจ้าที่ตรวจสอบได้อย่างถูกต้อง เรารู้มั๊ยว่าพระเจ้าคิดกับเรายังไง? เมื่อเราคิดว่าเราดีเหลือเกิน พระองค์คิดอย่างนั้นด้วยมั๊ย? หรือเมื่อเราคิดว่าเราแย่มาก พระเจ้าคิดเช่นนั้นหรือ? หากแต่เมื่อพระเจ้าพิจารณาว่าเราดี เราจึงดีได้ ... พระเจ้าไม่ต้องการให้เราตรวจสอบตัวเราด้วยตัวเอง พระองค์ต้องการให้เราปฎิเสธความรู้สึกสับสนออกไปในการตัดสินใจ และเปิดรับแนวคิดของพระองค์และเข้าใจการตัดสินนั้น เราจึงจะประเมินตัวเองได้อย่างถูกต้อง

การเปิดเผยมาจากไหน?

John 8:12 - พระเยซูตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า "เราเป็นความสว่างของโลก ผู้ที่ตามเรามาจะไม่เดินในความมืด แต่จะมีความสว่างแห่งชีวิต"

1. พระเยซูทรงเป็นแสงสว่าง เมื่อเราเข้าใกล้พระเจ้า เราจึงเห็นแสงสว่าง บ่อยครั้งที่เราคิดว่าบางสิ่งก็ไม่เลว แต่เมื่อพระเจ้าเปิดเผย เราต้องประหลาดใจเมื่อพบว่าทุกอย่างผิดหมด เราตระหนักว่ามาตรฐานของเรานั้นไม่เพียงพอ ยิ่งเราเข้าใกล้พระเจ้า ก็จะได้รับการเปิดเผย ส่องสว่างมากเท่านั้น

3. หลายคนคิดว่าประโยคนี้หมายถึงคริสเตียนที่มีความประพฤติดี แต่จริงๆ แล้ว "คริสเตียนเป็นแสงสว่าง" สามารถส่องแสงสภาพความเป็นจริงของมนุษย์ออกมาได้ คริสเตียนหลายคนผู้เป็นแสงสว่าง ทำให้คริสเตียนคนอื่นกล่าวโทษตัวเอง และละอายใจเวลาอยู่ใกล้ชิดคนเหล่านั้น พี่น้องทั้งหลาย แท้จริง เราเป็นคนงานของพระเจ้า ถ้าเราไม่มีแสง เราจะทำงานไม่ได้ ถ้าเราเข้าใกล้พระเจ้า และให้แสงนั้นควบคุมเราอยู่เสมอ เราจะฉายสภาพความจริงของมนุษย์โดยอัตโนมัติ ถ้าเราเชื่อฟังน้ำพระทัยพระเจ้า และทำงานของพระองค์ เราจำเป็นต้องเป็นแสงสว่าง

เมื่อเราเข้าใกล้คนที่สนิทกับพระเจ้า เราจะสัมผัสถึงพระเจ้า เมื่อไหร่ที่เข้าใกล้พี่น้องบางคน เมื่อสนทนาและอ่านพระวจนะด้วยกัน จะตระหนักว่าเรายังบกพร่องอยู่ ทุกครั้งที่พบพี่น้องคนนี้ มีความรู้สึกพิเศษว่า พระเจ้าอยู่ที่นั่น เมื่อเข้าใกล้เธอ แสงสว่างของเธอนั้นเองที่กล่าวโทษบาปของเรา

ไม่ว่าเราจะสนิทกับพระเจ้าโดยพระวจนะหรือการสามัคคีธรรมกับพี่น้องคริสเตียน การส่องสว่างนั้นมาจากการเปิดเผยของพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ ซึ่งเป็นผู้สำแดงพระสิริ ความบริสุทธิ์ และความชอบธรรมของพระเจ้า และเมื่อเราเห็นมาตรฐานพระเจ้า เราจะรู้สภาพการณ์และพบว่าเราตกขอบจากมาตรฐานนี้ไป

SELF-KNOWLEDGE AND GOD'S LIGHT

A Christian never progresses in spirituality if he does not know himself. And a Christian can never spiritually progress further than what he knows. No Christian can progress further than the light which God has given him. If a Christian does not know his faults or his real condition, he will not pursue after what is new or go on in the way ahead.

The most important thing in a Christian's life is to consider his own flesh as not trustworthy and himself as absolutely useless. Only in this way will he utterly trust God. When we do not know ourselves, we do not know how great is our lack and how complete and precious is the salvation in Christ. As a result we miss so many spiritual blessings.

IS SELF-KNOWLEDGE DERIVED FROM SELF-EXAMINATION?

Psalm 26:2
Actually, only God's knowledge concerning us is correct. Do you know how God thinks about you? When you think that you are so good, does God also think the same thing? When you think that you are very bad, does God also think the same thing? When God regards you as good, then you are good. And when God regards you as evil, then you are evil. ... While God does not want us to examine ourselves. He wants us to have His same view. Therefore, He wants us to reject our untrustworthy feelings in deciding our condition and receive His thought and understand His judgment so that we may have an accurate assessment of ourselves.

WHERE DOES THIS LIGHT COME FROM?

John 8:12
1. The Lord Jesus is light. When we draw near to the Lord, we shall see light. Often we think that this is quite good and that is not bad. But when we tell the Lord the facts of a situation, asking Him for enlightenment, we find to our surprise that everything is wrong. We will realize that our standard is not enough. The more we draw near to the Lord, the more we will receive the light of God.

2. The work of the flesh cannot escape the shining of the light of God. Day by day we should not follow our feelings in judging whether a matter is right or wrong. Rather, we must let the Word of God decide whether it is right or wrong. For this reason, we must read the Bible more, and we must trust that the Holy Spirit would manifest the Word of God to us so that we may know ourselves.

Matthew 5:14
3. Normally we think that this verse speaks only of a Christian's good behavior. But actually there is a very deep meaning here. It says that a Christian is light. Many Christians who are in the light of God, make other Christians afraid of seeing them because once they are seen, they will be condemned of their own sins. Brothers and sisters, we are the workers of God, serving God. If you do not have the light of God, you will not be able to work. If you draw near to God and are controlled constantly by the light of God, spontaneously you will illuminate the real condition of the people who are contacting you. If we want to obey the will of God and do the work of God, we need to be a light

When you come close to Christians who are near to God, they make you feel God. Whenever I went to see a sister, after talking and reading a few verses from the Bible with her, I was aware that I was still lacking. I always felt something special ... God was there. When you came close to her, her light condemned your sin.

Whether by drawing near to Christ, by reading God's Word, or by being with other Christians, all the light we receive comes from the revelation of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who manifests His glory, holiness, and righteousness. By this we see the absolute standard of God, so that we see ourselves, know our own real condition, and realize how we fall short of the standard of God.
